Mama Effe, Nana Jantuah, Ogidi Brown win big at 2025 Floodlight Media Excellence Awards

The fifth edition of the Floodlight Media Excellence Awards, held at KNUST in Kumasi, saw three Nhyira Fm staff honoured for their outstanding contributions to media and development.

The legendary Mama Effe of Obra fame; Nana Kwadwo Jantuah, host of flagship ‘Kuro Yi Mu Nsem’ show; and entertainment show host, Ogidi Brown were the recipients of the prestigious awards.

Mama Effe Amanor, a media veteran with 28 years of service, received the Lifetime Achievement Award for her selfless support and dedication to helping the vulnerable in society.

Her citation read: “In honour of your lifetime dedicated to excellence, service, and transformative leadership… Your vision, integrity, and devotion to progress stand as a beacon of excellence.”

Nana Kwadwo Jantuah, host of Nhyira FM’s morning show, won two awards: Radio Personality of the Year (Ashanti Region) and the ultimate Media Personality of the Year.

DJ Ogidi Brown was awarded Entertainment Show Host of the Year for his impact in the entertainment industry.

He urged the Kumasi media to support the Floodlight Media Excellence Awards to foster talent growth in the region.

The Floodlight Media Excellence Awards have consistently recognized hardworking media personnel and organisations supporting national development over the past five years.

The ceremony was attended by notable guests, including Kofi Adu Domfeh, Ashanti Regional GJA Chairman, Nana Addai Dwamena, Fayiasehene, and leaders of institutions.

CEO of Floodlight, Augustine Acquah, appreciated the highlighted the need to uphold professionalsm in the media to promote development.

He appreciated the support of his team and other personalities in the successful organisation of the awards over the years.
