Renowned gospel musician and founder of the Rockhill Church in the United States, Sonnie Badu, has prophesied that President John Dramani Mahama will one day be ordained as a pastor.

In an Instagram post, Sonnie Badu stated that President Mahama’s return to power for a second term paves the way for his eventual calling into ministry.

“Now that His Excellency has fulfilled the comeback mission, there is one more hurdle to overcome; call it a prophecy. His Excellency will soon be ordained as a pastor,” he wrote.

He added, “He might become the first pastor to serve as a president. @officialjdmahama, congratulations in advance!”

President Mahama was sworn in on January 7, 2025, as the 6th President of Ghana’s 4th Republic, succeeding Nana Akufo-Addo.

The swearing-in ceremony was officiated by the Chief Justice, Gertrude Torkornoo, at the Black Star Square in Accra.

This marks a historic comeback for Mahama, who previously served as president from 2013 to 2017.

After losing the 2016 elections, he contested two more times before achieving a decisive victory in 2024, becoming Ghana’s first president under the 4th Republic to lose an election and return to office.
