
President John Dramani Mahama and First Lady, Mrs. Lordina Mahama, have arrived in New York to participate in the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
The couple was warmly welcomed by a large number of Ghanaians living in the United States.
During his visit, President Mahama is expected to focus on issues of global peace and security, the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), climate action, and deepening regional economic integration.
These key priorities, according to the Presidency, reflect Ghana’s commitment to multilateral cooperation and the pursuit of joint solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges.
President Mahama is scheduled to deliver Ghana’s address to the General Assembly on Thursday, September 25, 2025.
His speech will outline the country’s position on major global issues and reaffirm Ghana’s role as a reliable partner in promoting peace, sustainable development, and economic collaboration.
