Africa’s music icon and maestro Kojo Antwi will be signing copies of his memoir in New York on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

The memoir, “MR MUSIC MAN: THE JOURNEY,” was launched on Friday, February 13, 2026, in Accra, Ghana, and is now being presented to fans, lovers, and friends in the United States.

The signing is expected to take place at the Source of Knowledge Bookstore in Newark between 5 PM and 8 PM.

Kojo Antwi is currently in New York after performing on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the invitation of the Kwahuman Association of New York, in collaboration with the Kojo Antwi Foundation, to celebrate the music legend.

Dubbed “Celebrating the Music Man, Kojo Antwi,” the event brought together Kwahu indigenes in the diaspora, as well as other guests and foreign nationals.

Following the performance, the maestro will hold a three-hour signing session with fans and music lovers, where he is expected to sign hundreds of copies of “MR MUSIC MAN: THE JOURNEY” and take photos with patrons.

Kojo Antwi, on his social media platforms, wrote:
“Hello New Jersey fans, friends & family, I’ll be signing copies of my memoir, MR MUSIC MAN: THE JOURNEY, and meeting you in person at Source of Knowledge Bookstore, Newark. Thursday, April 16, 2026 | 5 PM–8 PM.”

The book launch featured tributes and goodwill messages, including a eulogy in honour of former President John Agyekum Kufuor, as well as remarks from business leaders who highlighted how Kojo Antwi’s music continues to inspire generations.

Co-authored by George Essiaw, the memoir chronicles the artist’s early life, his years performing in bands, and the experiences that shaped his musical journey. It offers readers an in-depth look into both his personal and professional story.

Already, Kojo Antwi has presented a copy of his memoir to his long-time friend, Ivorian music legend Meiway, in Paris, France, where the singer resides.
