Parliament’s Appointments Committee is currently vetting the Member of Parliament for Korle Klottey, Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, following her nomination as Minister-designate for Environment, Science and Technology.
The ongoing exercise forms part of Parliament’s constitutional process of scrutinising ministerial nominees before their approval.
Dr Agyeman-Rawlings is appearing before the Committee to respond to questions on her experience, vision and plans for the ministry, as well as key issues affecting Ghana’s environmental and scientific development.
The vetting is being closely followed as the nominee makes her case for the portfolio and responds to questions from both the Majority and Minority sides of the Committee.
If approved, she will succeed the late Tamale Central MP, Dr. Murtala Mohammed, who was killed in the August 6, 2025, helicopter crash together with seven others.
