Liverpool are reportedly considering a January swoop for Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo following his blistering start to the Premier League season.
The Ghanaian international has been in exceptional form, scoring six goals in eight appearances after committing his long-term future to the Cherries, despite interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United earlier in the year.
According to The i Paper, Liverpool have now joined the list of clubs monitoring the 25-year-old right-sided attacker. While the Reds’ interest has been described as long-term, the situation surrounding Mohamed Salah could accelerate their pursuit.
Salah, who penned a new two-year deal in April after months of uncertainty, has endured a slow start to the campaign with just two goals in nine league matches.
With the Egyptian also set to leave for the Africa Cup of Nations later this year, Liverpool are said to be assessing whether to strengthen their right flank in January.
However, Semenyo himself will remain available throughout that period after Ghana failed to qualify for the upcoming Afcon in Morocco.
The Bournemouth forward’s red-hot form was recently recognised when he was named the PFA Player of the Month for October, further cementing his growing reputation as one of the Premier League’s most exciting attacking talents.
