As the New Patriotic Party (NPP) charts a new course to reposition and strengthen its base, former Minister of Agriculture and MP for Abetifi, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, has called on members to renew their commitment to unity, discipline, and purpose.
Recent tensions within the party, especially on social media, have underscored the need for maturity and focus.
While vibrant political discussions are part of a healthy democracy, Dr. Acheampong, in a statement, has cautioned that internal division and hostile exchanges do more harm than good.
“What is required of us all, especially the leadership, is to restore hope through unity of purpose, maturity in conduct, and discipline in our ranks. We must channel our energy toward rebuilding and rebranding, not tearing each other down,” he said.
He has therefore urged all members, from the grassroots to senior officials, to remember the core values that bind the NPP: a shared love for country, a belief in progress, and a deep commitment to the prosperity of Mother Ghana.
“Now is the time to rise above factions and forge a new path built on collaboration, courage, and credibility,” he added.
Dr. Acheampong’s message is clear: moving forward requires setting aside personal grievances, fostering respectful dialogue, and remaining steadfast in the party’s mission. The focus, he insists, must be on building a stronger, more united NPP that can deliver real change for the Ghanaian people.
“With gratitude and resolve,” he concluded, “let us come together disciplined and united to shape a better future for our party,” he urged.
