Leicester City manager Marti Cifuentes has hailed Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku for his brilliant performance in their 3-1 win over Swansea City on Saturday.
The 20-year-old winger was in sensational form at the Swansea.com Stadium, scoring a stunning goal, his third of the season, to help the Foxes claim an impressive away victory.
Issahaku has been a standout performer for Leicester this campaign, showing remarkable consistency since recovering from a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury that ruled him out for much of last season.
“I’m so happy with him after a tough period last season with injury,” Cifuentes told Leicester’s media team.
“We had to take care of him when I arrived, but he’s doing so well now. He’s very committed and a fantastic player for us.
“If we want him to shine as he’s doing, we need to make sure the whole team functions well, so everyone contributes,” he added.
So far this season, Issahaku has been directly involved in four goals, three strikes and one assist, in nine Championship appearances.
The former Sporting CP attacker will now shift focus to international duty, joining Ghana for their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying games against the Central African Republic and Comoros later this month.
