Renowned Ghanaian lawyer and staunch Arsenal supporter, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, has advised midfielder Thomas Partey to consider leaving the English club in search of a more lucrative move.
Partey’s current contract with Arsenal is set to expire at the end of this month. The Ghana international joined the Gunners in 2020 on a five-year deal from Spanish side Atlético Madrid.
While the North London club has reportedly opened talks with his representatives regarding a possible contract extension, the 32-year-old is also attracting interest from several European and Saudi Arabian clubs.
Despite his loyalty to Arsenal, Otchere-Darko believes it may be the right time for Partey to prioritise financial security.
“I’m an Arsenal fan, but I advise Thomas Partey to move elsewhere and make some good money for his pension years,” he said on Asaase Radio’s Breakfast Show.
Partey featured prominently for Arsenal in the recently concluded 2024/25 season, making 52 appearances and scoring four goals.
