The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) has paid tribute to Samuel Aboagye, one of the eight victims of the military helicopter crash on Wednesday, August 6.
Speaking at the state funeral on Friday, August 15, a NADMO representative described Mr. Aboagye as a rising star within the organisation whose dedication was already making a visible impact.
“He was a promising staff member who made every person feel valued, seen, and appreciated. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate his life,” the representative said.
Mr. Aboagye briefly served as Deputy Director-General in charge of protocol. Colleagues recalled his positivity, humility, and approachability, noting that his influence was beginning to inspire change within NADMO.
“Although his time with us was brief, his impact will be felt forever. His greatest strength was his humility; his infectious smile made him approachable and unforgettable. He worked alongside everyone, opened his door for all, and offered encouragement,” the tribute continued.
Mr. Aboagye was also the National Democratic Congress (NDC) 2024 Obuasi East Parliamentary Candidate.
