Late Goasomanhene fostered religious unity – Local Council of Churches eulogise

The Goaso Local Council of Churches in the Ahafo Region has commended the late Paramount Chief of Goaso, Nana Kwasi Bosomprah, for his outstanding role in fostering unity among religious groups in the area.

Speaking to Adom News during the chief’s burial service, Reverend Ebenezer Kwame Frimpong, Chairman of the Council, recalled how Nana Bosomprah regularly invited church leaders to his palace to discuss the importance of unity and the spiritual well-being of the community.

He noted that the chief often called upon pastors to help resolve disputes at his palace, a gesture that significantly strengthened ties among the various churches.

Pastor Owiredu Kwakye of the Apostolic Church Ghana urged traditional leaders in Goaso to preserve the legacy of cooperation established by Nana Bosomprah. He emphasized the need for chiefs to maintain regular engagement with religious leaders, just as the late paramount chief did.

Nana Kwasi Bosomprah passed away after a prolonged illness. His death was officially announced on December 16, 2024, by Otumfuo’s linguist, Kyeame Antwi Boasiako, during an Asanteman Council meeting.

Nana Bosomprah ascended the Goasomanhene stool in 2008 and was known for his vocal advocacy for development and his critiques of government policies perceived to hinder progress in the Goaso area.
