Land dispute turns violent as man allegedly attacks brother, sister-in-law at Tain-Ano No. 1

A farmer, identified as Emma, has allegedly attacked and seriously injured his brother and sister-in-law during a violent confrontation over a cashew farm at Tain-Ano No. 1 in the Jaman South Municipality of the Bono Region.

Reports indicate that the suspect and his brother have been involved in a long-standing dispute over ownership of the cashew plantation.

On the day of the incident, Emma was reportedly working on the farm when his brother and sister-in-law confronted him and asked him to leave the land.

The confrontation is said to have escalated from a heated argument into a physical altercation, during which the suspect allegedly overpowered the couple and inflicted cutlass wounds on both victims.

Following the attack, Emma fled the scene but later turned himself in to the police at Asiri in the Jaman North District.

The injured victims were rushed to St. Mary’s Hospital in Drobo, where they are currently receiving medical treatment.

Police have since launched investigations into the incident.
