The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Kwahu West, Tamimu Halidu, has called on the newly installed Chief Imam, Sheikh Mallam Nuhu Adam, to lead with truth, integrity, and fairness in the discharge of his duties.
Speaking at the installation ceremony held at the Nkawkaw Central Mosque, the MCE congratulated Sheikh Nuhu Adam on his appointment and underscored the important role of religious leaders in promoting peace, unity, and social cohesion within the community.
He urged the Chief Imam to exercise honesty and impartiality in resolving issues within the Muslim community and to foster peaceful coexistence among people of different faiths in Nkawkaw.
The MCE also assured the Chief Imam of the Assembly’s readiness to collaborate on initiatives aimed at promoting development and strengthening social harmony in the municipality.
Responding on behalf of the Chief Imam, the secretary, Mallam Ofa, expressed gratitude for the support and pledged to work with truth and sincerity to advance peace and unity among residents. He further assured that efforts would be made to support youth education and enhance Islamic learning in the area.
