Kwabena Agyepong regrets exclusion of former polling station executives from NPP Primaries

Presidential hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, has expressed regret over the exclusion of former polling station executives from voting in the party’s presidential primaries.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, Mr. Agyepong said the decision has sidelined many dedicated party members who have contributed significantly to the NPP’s growth over the years.

“I believe we need to depart from the usual practice. If it were up to me, all former polling station executives would have been allowed to vote. Unfortunately, anytime a new MP comes in, they replace the old executives with their own people,” he stated.

Mr. Agyepong emphasized that several past executives who toiled for the party are no longer recognized.

“However, I respect the party’s decision. There are some past executives who have struggled for the party, and yet they are not recognized in the party anymore,” he said.

The former NPP General Secretary is among the early contenders to declare interest in leading the party into the 2028 elections.
