Kurt Okraku applauds MTN Ghana’s $2m sponsorship for national teams

Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has praised MTN Ghana for its unwavering commitment to developing the country’s young football talent.

On Thursday, MTN Ghana CEO Stephen Blewett announced a two-year sponsorship deal worth $2 million, making the telecommunications giant the headline sponsor for the Black Stars, Black Queens, Black Satellites, and Black Starlets.

Highlighting the long-term benefits, Okraku said:
“The belief is that if you invest in the youth of today, you will probably have a better tomorrow. Isn’t that apparent? Absolutely. MTN and Ghana have always shown leadership and believed in our collective tomorrow, for which reason we are here today to announce this partnership worth two million dollars.”

He stressed that MTN’s investment would give young players access to world-class facilities and operations, preparing them to excel on the global stage.
“This investment by MTN will ensure that these young boys have the best operations to put them in a competitive mood for the big championships.”

Okraku concluded with heartfelt appreciation:
“A big problem of the FA has been solved by MTN.”

The deal underscores MTN Ghana’s ongoing commitment to nurturing the next generation of football stars in the country.
