Former Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Ibrahim Sannie Daara, has strongly backed Mohammed Kudus to thrive at any top club, insisting the Ghanaian international is more gifted than Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka.
Kudus, who scored 19 goals in 80 appearances during his first two seasons with West Ham United, has emerged as a top target for Tottenham Hotspur in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Despite interest from Chelsea and clubs in the Saudi Pro League, reports indicate the 24-year-old is keen on a move to Spurs, particularly due to his desire to play European football next season.
However, West Ham have turned down Tottenham’s initial £50 million offer, as the Hammers look to maximize the value of one of their most marketable players.
Speaking to 3Sports, Sannie Daara emphasized Kudus’s quality and ability to make an immediate impact wherever he goes.
“There is no team that Mohammed Kudus will go to and be on the bench,” he told 3Sports.
“Kudus is more talented than Bukayo Saka,” he added.
Kudus’s release clause stands at £85 million for Premier League clubs, valid within the first 10 days of July.
For European suitors, the clause is slightly reduced to £80 million, while Saudi Arabian clubs would be required to pay up to £120 million to land the former Ajax man.
As West Ham prepare for a potential summer reshuffle, the club is expected to sanction Kudus’s departure before making any major signings.
