The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Kpandai in the Northern Region, Haruna Karim, has accounted for a number of development projects and interventions undertaken in the district since assuming office.
Mr Karim, who has been in office for one year and three months, said his administration had focused on improving infrastructure and addressing some of the pressing needs of residents.
Among the projects highlighted are the construction and rehabilitation of community-based health facilities, road rehabilitation, the drilling of mechanised boreholes, and the rehabilitation and construction of schools.
The DCE said the interventions were aimed at improving access to basic services and enhancing the living conditions of residents across the district.
Mr Karim also mentioned measures to improve economic activities in the district, including the development of a 24-hour market.
According to him, the market is expected to provide a modern trading environment while creating opportunities for traders and other businesses in Kpandai.
He said additional initiatives had also been undertaken in the education sector and other areas as part of efforts to address the development needs of the district.
Speaking in an interview with Adom News Correspondent, Odehyeba Owusu Job, the Kpandai DCE expressed appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama for the confidence reposed in him.
He pledged to continue working to attract and implement more development projects for the benefit of residents.
Mr Karim said his administration would remain focused on projects and programmes that directly respond to the needs of the people of Kpandai.
He further called for continued cooperation from traditional leaders, community members and other stakeholders to support the district’s development agenda.
