Kpandai chief urges Assembly Members to confirm DCE nominee for development

The Paramount Chief of Kpandai in the Northern Region, Nana Bristiam Okore Atorsah II, has appealed to assembly members to urgently confirm the District Chief Executive (DCE) nominee, Haruna Abudu Karim, to help fast-track development in the area.

Speaking in an interview with Adom News during a courtesy call by the nominee to his palace, the chief expressed concern over the delayed confirmation and its impact on progress in the district.

“I want to thank President John Dramani Mahama for nominating Abudu Karim as DCE for Kpandai, but I also want to appeal to the assembly members to kindly confirm him so that we can move forward with development. We are lagging behind,” he said.

Nana Atorsah II urged Mr. Karim to work closely with the community and remain committed to President Mahama’s Reset Agenda when confirmed.

“I charge the nominee, once confirmed, to address pressing challenges in Kpandai such as poor road networks, lack of access to potable water, improving the Kpandai Polyclinic, and extending street lighting to underserved areas,” he stated.

He also encouraged the 17 other aspirants who were not selected to rally behind Mr. Karim for the greater good of the district.

“I want to call on the other 17 aspirants who didn’t get the nod to put aside any differences and support the nominee when he is confirmed,” he added.
