Kotoko Interim coach Karim Zito pleased with team’s progress

Interim coach of Asante Kotoko, Karim Zito, has expressed his satisfaction with the noticeable progress the team has made since he took charge.

Zito, who previously coached the Black Satellites, stepped in for Prosper Narteh Ogum in April and is set to remain at the helm until the end of the season.

Under his leadership, Kotoko have remained unbeaten, secured a spot in the FA Cup final, and continue to challenge for the Premier League title.

Following their commanding 4-1 victory over Dreams FC on Sunday, Zito shared his thoughts on the team’s development.

“There have been a lot of improvements. I’ve seen a lot of improvement. They give me their listening ear. Anytime I talk to them, they listen,” he said.

“They are grown-ups, some with wives and children, so that is where the management criteria come in. You don’t have to be shouting all the time. Seriously, they enjoy training with me. I’m like their father. We all joke, but I’ve been advising them,” he added.

Karim Zito aims to maintain the team’s momentum as Kotoko prepare to face Bibiani GoldStars at the DUN’s Park in their Matchday 32 fixture on Sunday.
