The Ashanti Regional Coordinator for the Kennedy Agyapong for President Campaign, Lawyer William Kusi, has described Kennedy Agyapong as the best candidate to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to victory in the 2028 general elections.
Speaking at a meeting with delegates in Yamfo in the Ahafo Region, Kusi urged party delegates to elect Agyapong as the NPP flagbearer during the party’s presidential primaries scheduled for January 31, 2026.
In an interview with Adom News, he said that among the five candidates contesting, Agyapong stands out as the only one whose policies would resonate with Ghanaians across the political divide, as they focus on significantly improving livelihoods.
According to Kusi, Agyapong has clear strategies to tackle unemployment, particularly among the youth, by creating sustainable jobs and transforming Ghana’s natural resources into employment opportunities.
He further noted that Agyapong has personally created jobs for more than 3,000 people and continues to expand employment opportunities.
Kusi also claimed that electing Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as flagbearer would likely result in another defeat for the NPP in 2028, arguing that Bawumia lacks a compelling message to persuade Ghanaians to give the party another mandate.
He concluded by urging delegates to carefully consider their choice, stressing that Kennedy Agyapong is best positioned to unite the party and lead it back to power.
