Kasoa: Pregnant woman beaten into coma over false ‘weed’ claim

A three-month pregnant woman, Hannah Tetteh, is fighting for her life at the Kasoa Mother and Child Hospital after she was brutally assaulted by a man claiming to be a police informant.

The incident occurred at the Kasoa Central Business District in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region.

According to the victim’s mother, Victoria Saah, the suspect accused Hannah of selling weed, violently attacked her, and even stripped her half-naked before she lost consciousness.

Victoria Saah alleged that after the assault, the man called in a police patrol team from the Central East Regional Police Command and falsely reported that her daughter was involved in drug peddling.

She is now demanding justice for her daughter, insisting Hannah has no ties to any illegal drug trade.

“My daughter is not a weed seller. She’s innocent and now fighting for her life because of this false accusation,” she lamented.

The family is calling on the police to investigate the matter thoroughly and hold the suspect accountable for his actions.
