Kadjebi-Akan MP donates trunks and mattresses to SHS freshers

In a heartfelt initiative aimed at reducing the financial burden on parents, the Member of Parliament for the Kadjebi-Akan constituency in the Oti Region, Ing. Yao Gomado, has supported new Senior High School (SHS) students by distributing trunks and mattresses.

This initiative, which highlights his commitment to education, provided freshers with trunks and mattresses to ensure they have a comfortable start to this next phase of their education.

Parents and students gathered at Poase Cement for the presentation ceremony, expressing their appreciation for the support.

The distribution is part of the MP’s broader educational support program, which aims to elevate educational standards and accessibility within the Akanc constituency.

During the ceremony, Ing. Yao Gomado encouraged the beneficiaries to seize the opportunities available to them, emphasizing the importance of education in achieving a better future.

“These items are not just supplies; they are tools that will help pave the way for your academic success and personal development. Use them wisely, study hard, and excel in your endeavors,” he urged the students.

By providing these essential items, the MP aims to alleviate the economic pressures on parents, who often struggle with the additional costs associated with sending their children to senior high school.

The provision of trunks and mattresses is particularly significant as it addresses the basic needs of boarding students, ensuring they have the essentials for a conducive living and learning environment.

In an interview with Adom News, parents expressed their gratitude to the MP for his thoughtful intervention, which has significantly eased their financial stress.

The beneficiaries, visibly grateful, pledged to dedicate themselves to their studies as a way of honoring the investment made in their future.
