The former President, John Agyekum Kufuor has expressed shock at the sudden death of the popular talk-show host, Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong (KABA).
His sudden death, according to former President Kufuor should teach Ghanaians how to love one another to promote peace in the country.
He disclosed instances where his wife would sneak to listen to KABA’s Ekosii Sen show even though she doesn’t hold much interest in political subjects.
Ex-president Kufuor described KABA as a man of truth and balance whose used the platform to create a consensus during political debates.
“We can’t understand. It’s painful. My wife and I can’t understand. There’s mystery to love. He was like a family member. Even though I can’t walk, I was at his wedding at the banquet hall. He had a sense of humour. His smile cuts through sorrow.
“The heart and mind to ask questions were accorded with respect. He is not biased. He is always balanced. My wife is always listening to Kaba even though she sometimes dislikes politics. We have become addicted to Kaba and now we don’t have what we will listen in the afternoons…,” he said.
He continued that, “We should love one another. I don’t know his religion but I learnt he is a good person and love people. People should learn especially journalists. Whatever they say should bring good to the country….”
The ex-president believes this wasn’t the right time for KABA to depart from earth.
“No one has the cure for death otherwise Kaba isn’t supposed to die any moment. Worshipping God is good. God should bless his child and wife…,” he told Adom TV.
