Ghanaian duo Jordan Ayew and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku are set to feature in England’s League One next season after Leicester City were relegated from the Championship.

The Foxes’ fate was sealed on Tuesday night following a dramatic draw against Hull City at the King Power Stadium.

Needing a victory to keep their survival hopes alive, Leicester endured a shaky start and fell behind in the first half after goalkeeper Asmir Begović made an error that gifted Hull the opening goal.

The hosts responded after the break, with Issahaku winning a penalty after being brought down in the box. Jordan Ayew calmly converted from the spot to level the score and reignite belief among the home supporters.

Momentum appeared to swing in Leicester’s favour when Luke Thomas fired them into the lead from close range. However, Hull refused to back down, and Oli McBurnie struck an equaliser that ultimately confirmed Leicester’s drop to the third tier.

Despite a late surge, including Patson Daka rattling the crossbar, Leicester could not find the decisive goal.

The result caps a disappointing campaign for the club, with relegation marking a significant setback for both the team and its players.
