The Manhyia Palace has announced a newly constituted Board of Directors for Asante Kotoko SC, following appointments made by His Majesty Osei Tutu II.
In a statement dated Friday, February 27, 2026, and signed by the Chief of Staff at Manhyia, Kofi Badu, the Palace said the restructured board will steer the strategic affairs of the Kumasi-based club as it seeks to consolidate its administrative framework.
Leading the new board is James Osei Brown, Chief Executive Officer of Joshob Construction, who assumes the role of Chairman.
He will be supported by Kwasi Osei Ofori, CEO of Rocksure, as Vice-Chairman. Kofi Amoa-Abban, Founder and CEO of Rigworld Group, also joins the board.
The statement indicated that the board is to take up its statutory oversight duties with immediate effect.
However, the Interim Management Committee (IMC) will remain responsible for the club’s day-to-day operations until the end of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign.
Earlier on Thursday, the Chief of Staff chaired a meeting to formally introduce the board members to the IMC, urging both bodies to work in close coordination to guarantee a smooth transition.
Speaking at the engagement, Osei Brown pledged the board’s determination to reposition the club and restore it to the heights its supporters expect. He encouraged the management team to maintain focus and intensity as the season enters a decisive phase.
IMC Chairman Nana Akwasi Awuah Apinkrah, for his part, welcomed the new board and assured members of the committee’s full cooperation during the transition period.

The development signals a fresh administrative chapter for Kotoko as the club aims to strengthen governance and sharpen its competitive edge both on and off the pitch.
Meanwhile, Kotoko will face Vision FC in a Matchday 24 fixture at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, with kick-off set for 15:30 GMT.
