Gospel singer Piesie Esther has expressed strong confidence that she will win against Black Sherif if they both get nominated in the next Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) Artist of the Year category.
Two years ago, the gospel star was a top contender for the ultimate award but lost out to Black Sherif.
Reflecting on that moment, Piesie Esther said that although winning would have been exciting, she accepted the outcome as the will of God.
She described her nomination at the time as a significant milestone, rising from humble beginnings to being recognized among Ghana’s biggest names in music.
Now, with renewed energy and a series of successful projects, she believes the next showdown will favor her.
Piesie Esther noted that both she and Black Sherif have worked hard, met the necessary criteria, and thrilled audiences with concerts and hit songs.
According to her, this year has been particularly remarkable, with her latest single ‘Nyame Ye’ resonating with fans of all ages, even children.
She added that her efforts and consistency in the music scene have positioned her for victory if she earns another nomination in the ultimate category.
The gospel singer, who spoke in an interview on Hitz FM, is optimistic that this time there will be no disappointment, as she has put in the work and is confident of winning the coveted title hands down.
