Former Interior Minister Henry Quartey received a pleasant surprise during an appearance on Dwaso Nsem on Adom FM as he marked his birthday and marriage anniversary.
While discussing national issues on the programme, the former minister was unexpectedly treated to a series of goodwill messages from callers arranged by the production team to celebrate the special occasion.
The first surprise came from his wife, who called into the show to wish him both a happy birthday and a happy marriage anniversary. During the call, she prayed for God’s continued blessings upon his life and expressed her love for him.
“I’ll choose you over and over again,” she said during the live call.
Quartey appeared visibly surprised when he realised the caller was his wife, as the moment had been carefully arranged by the host Omanhene Kwabena Asante and his team without his prior knowledge.
The celebration continued with more goodwill messages from friends and colleagues, including former Greater Accra Regional Minister Titus Glover, who also called into the programme to wish him well.
In addition, an artiste known as Padiki sent him a specially made painting and called to extend her birthday wishes. She prayed for long life, good health, and continued success for the former minister.
The surprise segment brought a lighter moment to the programme as the host and listeners joined in celebrating Mr. Quartey’s special day.
