Head Pastor of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC-Jesus Temple) who doubles as the overseer of Eastern and Volta ICGC Rev. Dickson Tuffour Sarpong has urged Ghanaians to show love and compassion during this Christmas season, stating that the essence of the birth of Christ is love.

He buttressed his point which John 3: 16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

He made the statement when he led a delegation to feed patients at the Eastern Regional hospital.

“Today, we’re eating proper Ghana Jollof rice and drinks. We’re feeding over 900 patients and some staff in this hospital. For some of the patients here, they may not even have anyone to visit them but we’re here to celebrate the Christmas with them and share the world of God as well,” Rev, Sarpong noted.

He advised Ghanaians to forgive their trespassers and all who have offended them and learn to leave in harmony.

“Ghana is a very peaceful country, let’s continue to coexist peacefully. If anyone wrong you, it’s normal to feel pain, but after a day or two, let it go. Forgive, forget and move on because our God is a sin forgiven God,” he added.

Speaking on behalf of management of the hospital, Dr Joycelyn Gyapomaa Assibey showed appreciation to the ICGC – Jesus Temple for their continued show of love to patients at the hospital.

In the last four years, the ICGC-Jesus Temple has been celebrating Christmas day with patients at the Eastern Regional hospital.
