Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Development Company (GTDC), Kwadwo Antwi, says he has travelled only six times since joining the public entity as CEO.

Kwadwo Antwi was responding to allegations made by his former deputy, Blakofe, that all he was interested in as a CEO were travels and per diems.

But responding to the allegations, Kwadwo Antwi said he had travelled only six times and they were all in the interest of the company.

He went ahead to accuse Akua Blakofe of non-performance, saying she rather failed at all three departments she was assigned to in the company.

Kojo Antwi’s banter comes on the back of Akua Blakofe’s call on government to provide her with a 24-hour security protection.

According to Blakofe, her life was in danger for ‘exposing’ the Kwadwo Antwi.

Blakofe who was speaking on Ado FM with Mike2 on the Adom Entertainment Hall show, alleged that some people including Kwadwo Antwi may want to cause her harm for speaking the truth to expose them.

“I am not happy, my life is in danger, I feel threatened and some people want to take my life from me; I need security protection and prayers from all and sundry”, she appealed.

Blakofe resigned from her position as deputy CEO of GTDC, alleging massive corruption and lack of visionary leadership at the company.

In a facebook post on Tuesday May 8, confirm her resignation, stating that no work was actually going on at the GTDC.

According to her, she took the bold decision to resign because she “wanted to work, and not travel and take per diems” for no work done.

“Not going to go into it and talk the truth about people, so let’s just say I wanted to work, not travel and chop per diem. I would like to thank H.E President Akufo-Addo for the opportunity he gave me. Unfortunately, the rest of the team did not. Thus I’m better off outside of the official post’’, aspects of her post read.
