Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito remains confident of leading the team to Ghana Premier League glory despite a difficult run of results.
The Porcupine Warriors suffered a 1-0 defeat to Hohoe United on Sunday at the Hohoe Sports Stadium, with William Oduro scoring the match’s only goal. The loss marked Kotoko’s fourth game without a win, following their defeat to Young Apostles.
The result leaves Kotoko in fifth place on the league table with 21 points, five behind leaders Medeama SC.
Speaking after the match, Zito insisted the team is determined to turn their fortunes around.
“I haven’t lost hope of winning the league, and we will bounce back stronger,” he said.
Kotoko will aim to end their winless streak when they host Dreams FC at the Baba Yara Stadium in their Matchday 14 fixture.
