Former Education Minister and Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has declared his readiness to lead Ghana, confirming his intention to contest the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer position.
Speaking on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem morning show, Dr. Adutwum said he is confident in his ability to contribute meaningfully to the country’s progress.
“I have what it takes to help the country’s development. My vision is to eradicate poverty, promote healthcare through regular checkups, and improve our health sector by building more hospitals,” he stated.
Dr. Adutwum argued that just as individuals in other institutions such as the police aspire to leadership, politicians with the people’s trust must also aim for higher office.
“If the NPP is looking for someone to help win the next election, then I am the right person. I have done a lot for the country and will do more if elected,” he assured.
Dr. Adutwum is widely known for his work in education reform and served as Education Minister under the previous NPP administration.
