Sam George

Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo Prampram, Sam Dzata George, who was a victim in the violence that characterized the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election, has explained why he did not give shells of bullets shots on January 31, 2019 to the police.

According to him, he did not trust the police with such sensitive evidence because they stood aloof while he was being assaulted.

The Ningo Prampram MP on Monday, February 25, 2019 presented 29 spent casings and one live round of which he claims were from the scene of the shooting when he took his turn before the Emile Short Commission investigating the violence during the by-elections.

Sam George explained that, the casings were “picked on the spot on the day and brought to me.”

When quizzed by Justice Emile Short why he did not handover such evidence to the police when he lodged a complaint, he said he did not trust them.

However, Sam George said he tendered the bullet casings to the Commission with the belief that it “will help in the service of justice.”
