New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirant, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, has declared that he is not a leader who can be pressured, frightened, or pushed off course, insisting that the party cannot be defeated under his leadership.
Addressing party delegates, the Abetifi MP said both allies and opponents know his temperament, stressing that intimidation has no place in his political vocabulary.
“I cannot be intimidated, and the NDC knows it,” Acheampong told the gathering. “Victory will not come by chance. It will come by strategy, resources, and courage.”
Drawing from his military training, he explained that leadership must be deliberate, disciplined, and battle-ready. Acheampong said politics, like security, requires preparation, organisation, and emotional strength, especially when facing an aggressive opponent.
He promised to build what he described as the most formidable communication machinery the NPP has ever assembled, ensuring the party’s message reaches every corner of the country.
He added that foot soldiers and grassroots executives would be properly resourced and empowered to campaign with confidence. “Our people must be armed with tools, logistics, and belief,” he said. “When the base is strong, the party becomes unstoppable.”
Acheampong also highlighted his record in public service, having served as Minister for National Security, Interior, and Agriculture, arguing that those roles demanded firmness, calmness under pressure, and results-driven leadership.
“I have protected citizens, managed institutions, and delivered outcomes. That experience prepares me to lead this party into the next political battle,” he said.
His message to delegates was clear: the NPP needs a leader who cannot be shaken by threats, propaganda, or political pressure—and he believes he is that leader.
