Afrobeat star KiDi has stated that when it comes to matters of love and relationships, he is devoted to the idea of having just one partner.
In an interview on Asempa FM’s Showbiz Review, the Lomo Lomo hitmaker shared that he follows the “one-man, one-woman” philosophy, inspired by the enduring bond between his parents.
“I grew up watching my mum and dad build something beautiful together. They’ve been together for years, and that has shaped how I see love and family,” he said.
Identifying as a Christian, KiDi clarified that his conviction is a personal choice rather than something he expects others to adopt.
“Muslims are allowed to marry more than one; Christians are not, so I cannot say what’s right or wrong for anyone else. What works for one person might not work for another. For me, as a Christian, I believe one man, one woman is right,” he added.
The 2022 Telecel Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year further explained that his upbringing taught him the importance of loyalty, commitment, and partnership, values he intends to carry into his own relationships.
