Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has emotionally opened up about overcoming years of masturbation and addiction.
The actress made the revelation while speaking at the Streams of Joy International Church during the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD), led by Pastor Jerry Eze.
According to Tonto Dikeh, her struggles began at a very early age. She disclosed that she started smoking at 13 and battled several addictions and spiritual challenges for years.
“I smoked since I was 13. God healed me from masturbation too,” she said, adding that she endured prolonged spiritual attacks that affected her life deeply.
She admitted she almost chose to remain silent due to concerns about public perception but decided otherwise.
“The devil tried to tell me that I was supposed to protect my image. But I told myself, what image? The God that gave me the image is the same God that can take it away,” she stated.
Tonto Dikeh said a major turning point in her life occurred after attending the Ghana Prayer Conference, where she experienced what she described as spiritual freedom.
She also spoke candidly about her struggle with anger, describing it as destructive.
“An anger that destroyed my life… but praying with NSPPD, God took all of those away and gave me peace,” she said.
Now 40 years old, the actress said she is experiencing peace for the first time in her life. She revealed that her smoking habit lasted approximately 27 years and used the opportunity to caution parents about exposing children to harmful habits at an early age.
Her testimony has since sparked widespread discussion online, with many praising her courage and openness.
