Former Eleven Wonders head coach Nii Odartey Lamptey has revealed that he continues to support some of the club’s players financially, despite no longer being part of the team.

Odartey Lamptey, a former Ghana international, was appointed head coach following Eleven Wonders’ return to the Premier League. However, after nine games without a victory in the 2025/26 season, he parted ways with the club.

In an interview with Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show, he disclosed that he still provides meals and transportation money for players.

“Eleven Wonders players talk to me every day because of what I was doing for them before I left. I am still doing that. It is sad, but what can you do?” he said.

He added that he does not blame Ghana FA President Kurt Okraku or the Executive Council for the club’s struggles.

“You look at what they are going through, and they still have to go and play games. I will never blame Kurt Okraku and the Executive Council of the GFA for what is happening at the club.

“I have a lot of evidence of what is happening at the club, but I am happy that J.E. Sarpong is out talking about what is happening at the club.

“I am no longer the head coach of the club, but some of the players come to my house to eat, and I give them transportation as well. I feel very emotional about what has happened,” he added.

Eleven Wonders, who remain at the bottom of the league with just three points, will be looking for their first win of the season when they host Dreams FC in their Matchday 12 clash this weekend.
