I am ready to play European football – Antoine Semenyo

AFC Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo has hinted he is ready to take his career to the next level by competing in European football.

Despite the Cherries narrowly missing out on continental qualification after finishing 9th in the Premier League with 56 points, the Ghana international emerged as one of the club’s standout performers during the 2024/25 campaign.

Semenyo featured in 37 matches across all competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing five assists in what proved to be a breakout season for the former Bristol City striker.

His impressive form has reportedly attracted interest from several top English clubs, including Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United.

Speaking in an interview with Showmax, Semenyo admitted that playing in Europe is a major ambition.

“I’d like to think so,” he said. “I pray about it a lot, and I’d like to think my performance shows I’m ready to take that next step. I think it’s every player’s dream to play in Europe, so why not?”

With the summer transfer window now open, speculation surrounding Semenyo’s future continues to grow as he considers his next move.
