The Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, Patrick Yaw Boamah, has said that although he is fully qualified to contest the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearership, he is not in a rush to take that step.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, the MP stressed that leadership decisions must align with the right timing and divine direction.
“God has His time for everything. I am qualified to run for the presidential primaries, but I feel there is time for everything,” he said.
Mr. Boamah noted that his immediate focus is helping to reorganize and strengthen the NPP as the party seeks to reposition itself with policies that can positively impact the country.
“We are working on fixing the party. We believe we have good policies that will help the country,” he stated.
He added that no firm decision has been made regarding calls for him to contest the flagbearership.
“At God’s appointed time, if it will happen, it will. It’s politics, so if God wants to lift you up, anything could happen,” he said.
