Former Asante Kotoko midfielder, Daniel Nii Adjei has disclosed that he is not bothered by the decision to omit his name from the Black Stars team.

The inform midfield dynamo helped TP Mazembe to win the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday after beating Algerian side MO Bejaia 5-2 on aggregate.

Daniel has been consistently snubbed by the technical team of the Black Stars but he says he is not worried about the situation.

“It means a lot to me winning the CAF Confederations Cup and it is an achievement that I cannot explain.

“I have won the Champions League, CAF Confederations Cup and the Super Cup. It is like winning everything on the African continent with the exception of the Africa Cup of Nations so it means a lot to me,” Daniel said.

Quizzed if he is worried over the failure of the handlers of the Black Stars to call him into the senior national team, Nii Agyei said:

“I am not frustrated for not being handed a Black Stars call up. I have to work hard and hope to get into the team and have enough playing time.

“I know if I don’t work hard and improve, I will not get the chance to play in the Black Stars so I always try to work hard and improve my work rate and I believe I will get a chance to be in the Black Stars,” he added.
