Director of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, has clarified that he has not completely cut ties with Ghana Beach Soccer, but has stepped down from his role as Chairman.
In an interview on Asempa FM’s Sports Nite Show, the veteran sports journalist and pioneer of beach soccer in Ghana explained that he made the decision to avoid a conflict of interest while serving as NSA boss.
“I have not stopped Ghana Beach Soccer, but I am not the chairman again because I cannot be the NSA boss at the same time. It’s to prevent conflict of interest,” he stated.
Ankrah, who has played a key role in advancing beach soccer in the country, reaffirmed his enduring passion and commitment to the sport’s growth and success in Ghana.
