President Akufo-Addo’s position on homosexuality seems to have angered many including his ‘spiritual father’.
This follows his indication that the country’s position on the act could change if there is strong advocacy.
In an exclusive interview with Aljazeera’s Jane Dutton, President Akufo-Addo said the country’s culture and tradition for now does not allow the legalization of homosexuality but was quick to add that if public opinion changes, the law may just be amended.
But this position has generated a lot of controversy in the country with the Christian Council of Ghana demanding government states in clear terms the country’s stance on homosexuality.
The latest to join is Founder and Leader of the Church of Rabbi, Prophet Kwabena Tawiah is not impressed with this response.
He has vowed to stop interceding for President Akufo-Addo if he champions to legalization of homosexuality in Ghana.
Prophet Kwabena Tawiah who claims to be the spiritual father of the President in an exclusive interview on Kofi TV indicated that, the whole country will revolt against the Akufo-Addo led government if it makes homosexuality legal.
“No spirit in Ghana will accept homosexuality so it will spell doom for Ghana if such an abominable act is accepted” he warned.
Prophet Kwabena Tawiah said he will recall all his spirits protecting the President and leave Ghana if they legalize homosexuality.
The Church of Rabbi leader is happy that for now, any act considered to be unnatural is considered by the country’s laws as illegal.
Prophet Kwabena Tawiah was however confident President Akufo-Addo will not lead such a sinful campaign to wreck Ghana’s future.
