A 45 year-old woman, Adwoa Rita is threatening to invoke curses on a state prosecutor at Weija for allegedly throwing her docket away.
According to her, the prosecutor told the court that the docket has been stolen hence his absence from court for three months.
She said the docket contains an allegation she made against her husband over alleged child trafficking.
Adwoa Rita said, the case is before the Accra High Court but the judge is threatening to strike the case out by Tuesday if the prosecutor, Fabean fails to bring the docket in court tomorrow.
“For the past three months, the AG gave our docket to the prosecutor but he has failed to show up claiming that the docket is missing but I don’t believe it and want him to provide it by tomorrow else I would be forced to curse him” the worried woman said.
It will be recalled that, on the 14th July last year, the Police arrested one Bright Agyapong for allegedly selling his 4 children to some people at Yeji.
The child slaves aged between 9 and 19 were rescued at Afram Plains in the Eastern region by an Anti-human trafficking NGO, Challenging Heights.
Mother of the children, Adjoa Rita accused the children’s father of deliberately selling the children into slavery to prevent her from seeing them.
However, she is accusing the state prosecutor of taking bribe from her husband just so the case does not see the light of day.
“I know the prosecutor is intentionally doing that because he has taken bribe from my husband so that the case can be a foolish case but I promise to make sure that both of them pays well” she vows.
