Ghana’s self-acclaimed dancehall King, Shatta Wale, has released a song to condemn the emerging ‘slave trade’ in Libya where some stranded black African migrants are being sold like merchandise in an open market.
Libya has been in the news in the past few days following reports of hundreds of Africans being bought and sold in slave markets across Libya.
He urged all Africans to pray for the victims of this modern ‘slave trade’ and wondered why “we can’t love ourselves; why can’t you be your brother’s keeper?”
