Background

Some residents of Denkyira Obuasi in the Central Region marshaled every lethal weapon available to them, including blocks, stones, guns and mortals among others as they clubbed the army officer to death on May 29.

Captain Mahama, having jogged covering a distance of about 10 kilometers, stopped in the town to buy snails from a woman.

Police say while removing his money the woman saw his pistol and raised an alarm that he was an armed robber leading to his lynching.

Many who have watched the ignoble act recorded by some residents are appalled by the way Captain Mahama was murdered when he had clearly shown to the people that he posed no danger and was ready to negotiate with them, but people who appeared bloodthirsty decided to rather kill him.

  1. Comment:I suggest the whole town should be demolished because a town like Denkyira buasi doesn’t deserve to exist in Ghana. they have a very bad record imagine a town without a chief. No wonder Okonfu Anokyi guessed them. in fact all those involved in the killing of major Mahama should be killed the same way. Hmmm Major Mahama may your gentle soul Rest in Perfect Peace.

  2. Let facts be facts. Has there ever been a prescribed dressing or footware for jogging? If I decide ‘chalewete’ is ok for jogging let me jog in it then you take me to court for a bridge of the dress code for jogging. If the thinking is that the other commander refused a scheduled meeting 4 WOs attended the the same meeting and were nearly killed. Tell us what meeting it was?, where it was scheduled?, why the other commander refused to attend?, and why they did not tell captain Mahama?. Why is this infor coming now?, because Mahama will never come back? This is not true. Put yourself in late mahama’s shoes, his family and other people who depended on him. Hmmmmmmm. God is watching.
