Leader and founder of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Akua Donkor has denied taking two cars from the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) as a reward for supporting the NDC during the 2016 elections.
Deputy Director of NADMO, Abu Ramadan has alleged that Madam Akua Donkor has two vehicles belonging to NADMO in her possession.
Mr. Ramadan indicated that Akua Donkor was given the vehicles as reward for campaigning for former President, John Dramani Mahama during the 2016 general elections.
He indicated that some directors at NADMO authorized the said distribution.
According to Abu Ramadan, their agency don’t have enough logistics to work with especially in emergency situations.
He however blamed his predecessors of distributing government cars meant for NADMO to the likes of Akua Donkor and other political bigwigs of the opposition parties in the heat of the 2016 general elections.
But in a sharp rebuttal, Madam Akua Donkor rubbished the allegation claiming that she bought the cars with her own money.
She further accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of attacking her unnecessarily for declaring her support for the NDC.
“I didn’t go there [NADMO] for cars nor even food. If people are getting mad then they start talking anyhow. I just hate them for accusing me wrongly. I bought my cars with my money. That useless man can’t even throw a party…” she stressed.
“The issues have been said already. They have been here to check the cars and it didn’t work for them. I won’t spare anyone who comes against me. They come to me anyhow with their useless minds” she stressed.
