The Women’s Fellowship of Holiness Pentecostal Church International, located at Gbawe, Flower Pot, Mallam, held its annual Women’s Fellowship Week from 6th to 12th October under the inspiring theme Daughter of Zion, Arise and Shine,” drawn from Isaiah 60:1–2.
The week featured a series of spiritually enriching, socially impactful, and empowering activities that reinforced the role of Christian women in faith, leadership, and service.
Highlights of the Week
The celebration commenced on Monday, 6th October, with an official introduction to the theme. Members were encouraged to reflect on the biblical call to rise in purpose, illuminate their environments, and overcome every form of limitation.
On Wednesday, 8th October, the women held a spirited debate examining biblical figures—Ruth, Abigail, Deborah and Esther—who embodied the essence of the theme. Their stories were used to demonstrate courage, wisdom, obedience and divine influence.
Thursday, 9th October, saw a vibrant cookout competition among the four groups of the fellowship. The event was generously sponsored by Gino, who provided the ingredients and support that made the activity a success. The competition fostered fellowship, creativity and teamwork in a joyful and engaging setting.
On Friday, 10th October, Dr. Simon Botwe from Blessed Hands Hospital delivered a comprehensive health talk. He enlightened the women on preventive healthcare, mental well-being and lifestyle practices essential for long-term wellness.
The fellowship extended its impact beyond the church on Saturday, 11th October, with a donation exercise at the Motherly Love Orphanage in Kwabenya. Members presented items and spent time with the children, demonstrating compassion and service in line with the theme.
The celebration climaxed on Sunday, 12th October, with a thanksgiving and worship service. The programme featured choreography and drama that illustrated the call for women to arise and shine in all spheres of life. The climax service also included an inspiring message from the Fellowship President, Mrs. Victoria Hooper, who urged women to be bold, confident and unafraid to let their light shine despite challenges.
Leadership Commendation
The Head Pastor of the church, Reverend James Tawiah Botwe, expressed his delight with the organisation and success of the week-long celebration. He encouraged the women to continue living out the essence of the theme in their personal lives, families, professions and ministries.
The 2025 Women’s Fellowship Week not only reinforced spiritual growth and unity but also demonstrated service, leadership, health consciousness and community impact. The programme left participants motivated and equipped to rise as true daughters of Zion, shining their light without restraint.
