The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has formally charged Hohoe United FC following the club’s announcement of its withdrawal from the ongoing 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.
In a statement, the GFA said the club breached Articles 13(1) and 24(6)(d) of the 2025 Ghana Premier League Regulations, accusing it of abandoning the competition without just cause.
The association added that the decision undermines the integrity of the league and brings the competition into disrepute.

Hohoe United have been given until Tuesday, April 14, 2026, to formally respond to the charges.
Competing in their first-ever top-flight season, Hohoe United were battling relegation at the time of their withdrawal, having accumulated 30 points from 27 matches.
The Hohoe-based side failed to honour their Ghana Premier League fixture against Eleven Wonders FC over the weekend, following their earlier announcement to exit the league. Consequently, Eleven Wonders, who are at the bottom of the table, were awarded three points and three goals.
