The High Court has officially withdrawn an arrest warrant issued against the Director of Passports, regarding the alleged issuance of multiple Ghanaian passports to one Dominic Williams.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration confirmed this in a statement, explaining that the withdrawal absolves him of any involvement.
The statement stressed that the Director had no connection to the incident, which occurred before he assumed office on August 19, 2024.
The matter has been fully resolved, and the Director of Passports has been cleared of any wrongdoing. It is important to emphasise that the incident in question predates the Director’s assumption of office.
Meanwhile, the Ministry expressed gratitude to the Judiciary for its swift and impartial handling of the matter.
The Ministry further reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and accountability, assuring the public that measures are continually being strengthened to uphold the integrity of passport administration in Ghana.
