Former Interior Minister Henry Quartey has challenged Peter Lanchene Toobu to publicly comment on the ongoing controversy surrounding recruitment into Ghana’s security services.
Mr. Quartey made the remarks during an interview on Dwaso Nsem on Adom FM, while sharing his views on the current debate over the recruitment process.
According to him, Toobu was very vocal about recruitment issues during the period he served as Interior Minister.
Mr. Quartey noted that the Wa West Member of Parliament frequently commented on the recruitment process and was actively involved in discussions on the matter at the time.
However, the former minister questioned why Toobu has remained silent on the current recruitment concerns.
“He was everywhere speaking on recruitment issues during my time as Interior Minister, so I dare him to come out and speak on what is happening now,” Quartey said.
He added that public figures who previously raised concerns about recruitment processes should also be willing to comment when similar issues arise under a different administration.
