Helicopter crash: Mahama’s safety is an act of God – Fuseini Donkor

Former Sekyere Afram Plains District Chief Executive (DCE), Fuseini Donkor, has attributed President John Mahama’s safety to divine intervention, saying his devotion to God spared him from the August 6 helicopter crash that claimed eight lives.

Speaking on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem, Mr Donkor said the President’s campaign and public service have always been rooted in faith, beginning and ending with God.

According to him, President Mahama could not attend the Obuasi programme the victims were travelling to because of another engagement.

“I can say as a believer that the second coming of John Mahama is a product of prayer. This campaign was one where I was closely involved, and it was led by a figure who left everything in the hands of God. From the start of his campaign to the tours he began, he initiated this effort from the church he started and ended with God. He has built churches for God, so He will protect such a person.

“As a Christian, the greatest thing you can do for God is to build a temple or a place of worship for the Almighty. Whoever honors the Lord, the Lord will honor them. The Lord will continue to protect the President. The incident is unfortunate, but only God knows why it happened,” he said.
